These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of Laurabodenart.com and to purchases made through the website.
The website and Laura Boden Art are operated by Laura Boden, an independent artist based in Romsey, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About Laura Boden Art
Laura Boden Art offers original artwork, fine art prints, made-to-order artwork, bespoke commissions and other art-related products.
As many pieces are original, handmade or individually created, slight variations in colour, texture, finish and appearance are a natural part of the artwork.
Every effort is made to represent artwork accurately on the website. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device or display settings.
2. Using This Website
You may use this website for lawful personal purposes.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation or use its content in a way that infringes the rights of Laura Boden or another person.
3. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all artwork, photographs, images, illustrations, text, graphics, designs, branding and other original content displayed on Laurabodenart.com are owned by or licensed to Laura Boden and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing an original artwork, print or commissioned piece does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights to the purchaser.
Artwork and website content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, commercially exploited or used to create derivative works without prior written permission from Laura Boden.
You are welcome to share links to the website or Laura Boden Art's official social media content, provided the work is appropriately credited and is not presented as your own.
4. Products & Availability
All products are subject to availability.
Original artworks are unique pieces and, once sold, may no longer be available.
Made-to-order artwork, including Birth Month Art, is individually created. Because of the techniques and materials involved, natural variations will occur and the finished artwork may not be identical to photographs of previous pieces.
Laura Boden Art reserves the right to withdraw a product from sale or decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where an item is unavailable, a pricing or product-description error has occurred, or fraudulent or unauthorised activity is suspected.
If payment has already been taken for an order that cannot be fulfilled, the amount paid will be refunded.
5. Prices & Payment
Prices are displayed on the website in the currency shown at the time of purchase.
Delivery, framing or other additional charges, where applicable, will be shown or agreed separately before payment is required.
Payment for website orders must be made using the payment methods available at checkout.
For bespoke commissions, payment arrangements are set out in Section 6 below.
6. Bespoke Commissions
Commission artwork is created individually to the specifications agreed between Laura Boden and the client, including the size, general colour palette, style and price.
Once these details and the quotation have been agreed, a 50% deposit is required to secure the commission and studio time.
The remaining balance, together with any agreed delivery, framing or other additional costs, is payable once the artwork has been completed and before the artwork is dispatched or collected.
Because each commission is individually created to the client's agreed requirements, the deposit becomes non-refundable once work has begun or materials have been purchased specifically for the commission, subject to the client's statutory rights.
Laura's work involves fluid techniques, texture and other organic processes. These techniques naturally create variations, and therefore an exact reproduction of another artwork, reference image or previous commission cannot be guaranteed.
Photographs of the completed artwork will be provided to the client before final payment and delivery or collection are arranged.
Commissioned artwork will not be reproduced as prints for general sale where it has been created as an exclusive bespoke piece for the client.
Laura Boden may request permission to photograph and share completed commissioned artwork on the Laura Boden Art website, social media or other promotional materials.
Where appropriate, the client's permission will be obtained before identifiable or personal information is shared.
7. Original Artwork & Certificates of Authenticity
Original artworks sold by Laura Boden Art are signed by Laura Boden.
Where stated with the artwork, an original piece will also be supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity confirming details of the artwork.
A Certificate of Authenticity relates to the authenticity of the physical artwork and does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights to the purchaser.
8. Delivery
Available delivery options and applicable charges will be shown during checkout or agreed directly with the customer where a separate quotation is required.
Ready-to-ship original artwork will normally be prepared and dispatched within 3–5 working days of receiving your order.
Made-to-order artwork and bespoke commissions will require additional creation time before dispatch.
Artwork is carefully packaged for delivery.
Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed. Delays caused by postal or courier services or circumstances outside Laura Boden Art's reasonable control may occasionally occur.
For international orders, customers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not normally included in the purchase price or delivery charge unless expressly stated otherwise.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If an artwork or product arrives damaged, please contact hello@laurabodenart.com as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs of the artwork and packaging so that the issue can be investigated.

9. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and return rights depend on the type of product purchased and the circumstances of the sale.
For eligible non-personalised goods purchased online, UK consumers may have a legal right to cancel their order within the applicable statutory cancellation period.
Certain goods that are made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel.
This does not affect your legal rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

10. Private Viewings & Collection
Private artwork viewings and collection are available by appointment in Romsey, Hampshire.
If you would like to view a particular artwork before purchasing, please contact hello@laurabodenart.com to arrange an appointment.
Where agreed, artwork may be purchased online and collected in person, or payment arrangements may be agreed before or at the appointment.
Any reservation of an artwork must be confirmed directly with Laura Boden. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, reserving an artwork does not transfer ownership until the required payment has been received.
11. Customer Communications & Feedback
If you contact Laura Boden Art with an enquiry, review, photograph, testimonial or other material, it will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy where personal information is involved.
Customer reviews, testimonials, photographs or other identifiable customer content will not automatically be treated as unrestricted promotional material simply because it has been submitted.
Permission may be requested before such material is reproduced for marketing or promotional purposes.
12. Third-Party Services & Links
The website may use or contain links to third-party services, including payment providers, delivery services, social media platforms or other external websites.
Laura Boden Art is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or terms of independent third-party websites.
Where you use a third-party service, that provider's own terms and privacy policies may also apply.
13. Website Information
Reasonable care is taken to ensure that the information displayed on Laurabodenart.com is accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, errors may occur in product descriptions, pricing, availability or other website information.
Where an error affects an order, Laura Boden Art will contact the customer as appropriate and, where necessary, offer the opportunity to cancel the affected order for a refund.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable consumer law.
Laura Boden Art will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses resulting from circumstances outside reasonable control, except where the law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Privacy & Cookies
Personal information collected through the website is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
The website may also use cookies and similar technologies. Further information can be found in the Cookie Policy and through the cookie settings available on the website, where applicable.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website, products, services or applicable requirements.
The version that applies to a purchase will normally be the version in effect when the order was placed.
The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently updated.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under mandatory laws that apply where you live, and nothing in these Terms is intended to remove those rights.
