Commission a one-of-a-kind original artwork created especially for you, your home or someone you love.
Whether you're looking for a particular size, colour palette or a piece inspired by the coast, I'll work with you to create an original artwork that reflects your ideas while retaining the texture, movement and character of my work.
From contemporary coastal paintings and textured abstracts to more personal pieces incorporating meaningful shells, gemstones or other special details, every commission is individually created in my Hampshire studio.
What can be commissioned?
Your Artwork, Your Story
A bespoke commission gives you the opportunity to own an original Laura Boden artwork created with your space and ideas in mind.
We can discuss the size and orientation of your artwork, your preferred colours and the style or feeling you would like the finished piece to have. You may already have a particular painting from my collection that inspires you, or simply an idea of the atmosphere and colours you would like to bring into your home.
For something especially personal, selected commissions can also incorporate meaningful elements such as your own shells or gemstones, creating an artwork with a story and connection that is entirely your own.
Every commission remains an original artwork rather than an exact reproduction of an existing piece, so your finished painting will be completely unique.
How to Commission an Artwork
1. Tell Me About Your Idea
Complete the enquiry form with the approximate size, colours and style you have in mind. You're also welcome to send photographs of your room or examples of my artwork that you particularly like.
2. We'll Discuss Your Artwork
I'll contact you to discuss your ideas, suitable dimensions, colours, materials, timescale and price before you make any commitment.
3. Confirm Your Commission
Once we have agreed the size, colours, style and price of your artwork, a 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and my studio time.
The remaining balance will be due once your artwork is completed and before it is dispatched or collected.
Because each commission is individually created to your agreed requirements, the deposit becomes non-refundable once I have begun work or purchased materials specifically for your commission.
4. Your Commission Is Confirmed
Once the details are agreed, your booking and deposit secure your place in my commission schedule.
5. I Create Your Original Artwork
Your piece is individually created in my Hampshire studio. Because my work involves fluid techniques and organic textures, part of the beauty of the process is that no two artworks can ever be exactly the same.
6. Approval & Delivery
I'll share photographs of the completed artwork with you before arranging final payment and delivery. Your artwork will then be carefully prepared and packaged for its journey to you.
Commission Pricing
Bespoke art commissions start from £150
The final price will depend on the size, materials, style and individual requirements of your artwork. Once we have discussed your ideas, I’ll provide a clear quotation before you decide whether you would like to proceed.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and studio time, with the remaining balance payable on completion before collection or dispatch.
If you have a particular budget in mind, you're very welcome to include it in your enquiry and I can advise what may be possible.
