Silence On The Seabed is a Giclée contemporary ocean print reproduced from my original painting and inspired by the quiet, hidden world that exists beneath the surface of the sea.
Layers of turquoise, aqua and deep ocean blue move through the composition, gradually leading the eye towards the seabed below. Soft organic white forms weave across the foreground, suggesting the delicate shapes, movement and natural textures found underwater.
I wanted this piece to capture a very different side of the ocean. Away from breaking waves and the movement of the shoreline, there is a sense of stillness beneath the surface — a quieter world of changing light, shifting colour and intricate natural forms.
The transition from luminous turquoise into deeper navy creates a feeling of depth and distance, while the lighter details across the seabed add texture and gentle movement. The result is an atmospheric piece that feels both contemporary and calming.
