Gently Drift Away is a Giclée contemporary beach print reproduced from my original painting and inspired by those peaceful moments at the coast when the world seems to slow down.
Clear turquoise water meets a soft sandy shoreline beneath an expansive blue sky, while a distant landform stretches gently across the horizon. Delicate white waves reach the beach in the foreground, bringing subtle movement to an otherwise calm and spacious scene.
I wanted this piece to capture the feeling of simply standing at the water's edge and allowing your thoughts to drift away. The open horizon, gentle movement of the sea and fresh coastal colours create a sense of space and tranquillity, inspiring the name Gently Drift Away.
Unlike some of my more energetic ocean abstracts, this artwork celebrates the quieter side of the coast. Layers of turquoise, aqua and blue contrast softly with the neutral sand, creating a fresh and uplifting palette that brings the atmosphere of a peaceful shoreline indoors.
