Explosive Wave is a Giclée abstract seascape print reproduced from my original painting and inspired by the raw energy and movement of the ocean.
 
A dramatic burst of white and pale aqua rises through the centre of the composition, surrounded by layers of turquoise, teal and deep ocean blue. Warmer golden tones filter through the upper part of the artwork, creating a beautiful contrast against the cooler colours of the sea.
 
I wanted Explosive Wave to capture that exhilarating moment when water surges upwards and a wave breaks with force — full of movement, spray and changing light. Expressive marks radiate through the painting, giving the piece a strong sense of energy and drawing the eye from the deeper water below towards the light above.
 
Rather than depicting a traditional coastal landscape, this piece explores the sea in a more expressive and abstract way. Colour, texture and movement come together to convey the power and unpredictability of the ocean while retaining the uplifting quality that inspires so much of my work.
