Welcome, my name is Laura Boden. I am a self taught artist from Romsey, Hampshire in the UK.
I live with my partner, two children, two dogs and a rabbit!
I create and sell sophisticated Semi-Abstract Art on large canvasses. I also sell 'Arti-Snaps' which are my A3 size, affordable artwork in a variety of styles. Arti-Snaps are also original pieces of artwork and are a perfect gift idea!
My work is inspired by the beauty of nature and I hope to captivate your minds with images of the sea, the sky and Earth's raw elements, as I share them in my curated collections!

This is me!
Ever since I was a child I loved drawing, creating things whilst watching 'Art Attack' and I even received an A+ GCSE Grade in Art Textiles! WOW! But...I always thought it was so difficult to make a career in Art. I was good but scared to persue a job with a risk of zero earnings!

I eventually took evening classes and qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 2007. A successful career that i still continue today. Incorporating the qualification as a Microblading Artist. Which is very creative and a source of colour theory knowledge in its own!

Unfortunately when Covid hit, I had to home school my children, close my Salon and continue my beauty work mobile. Once again presenting complications and an unreliable income, so I took up a full time job working nights at a local nursing home.

I also like to write and illustrate children's books when I get some spare time, which is rare these days. My books are also available from my website. Click on the link in the main menu to visit the page.
My Artwork is now taking up all my spare time and my goal is to, one day, become a full time Artist and work from a home studio. Rather than the garage or kitchen table!
My Influences
I have completed several of Ciara Gilmore's Abstract Art Courses and I am excited to share my passions and influences through my artwork. My love of nature is where most of my inspiration derives from, mainly whilst on walks with the dogs or days out taking snaps of my surroundings. 'The Sea, the Sky and Earth's raw elements.'
The captivating colours and textures inspire me to replicate nature's beauty onto a canvas, that can be loved and appreciated in your living space!
